Bagwis is a pigeon clocking and loft management app developed by Antioch Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be visible to other users, and how you can contact us about your data.
By using Bagwis, you agree that your information may be processed as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information needed to create your account, manage your loft, support pigeon racing and training workflows, and keep the app reliable.
- Account information such as email address, username, mobile number, display name, authentication status, and session details.
- Loft and pigeon information such as loft profile, location label, coordinates, pigeon records, ring numbers, and club membership data.
- Race, training, and clocking information such as entries, clock-in times, release and close times, statuses, rankings, reports, review decisions, and related competition records.
- Device and app information such as app version, basic diagnostics, connectivity state, maintenance availability checks, and local synchronization state.
3. Location Data
Bagwis may use location information when you set up a loft, choose a race release location, discover nearby lofts where enabled, or use features that require distance and route calculations.
Location is collected only when you use a location-based feature or grant the related permission. You can control location permission through your device settings, but some features may not work correctly without it.
4. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account.
- To manage loft profiles, pigeon records, clubs, races, training sessions, entries, and clocking results.
- To calculate and display arrivals, rankings, statuses, distances, and reports.
- To support offline-friendly behavior, synchronization, troubleshooting, maintenance checks, and service reliability.
- To help prevent abuse, duplicate records, unauthorized changes, and competition integrity issues.
- To respond to support requests and improve app quality.
5. Sharing and Visibility
Some information is visible to other users when required for club, race, or training workflows. Club administrators and race participants may see relevant loft, pigeon, entry, arrival, status, ranking, and report information.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information when required by law, to protect the app and its users, or to provide infrastructure services needed to operate Bagwis.
6. Offline Data and Device Storage
Bagwis may store account state, authentication tokens, cached loft data, pigeon data, race data, training data, and pending app state on your device so the app can load faster and support limited offline behavior.
Locally stored data may be removed when you sign out, clear app data, or uninstall the app, depending on your device settings and app behavior.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including authenticated access and encrypted HTTPS communication for production services.
No app or internet service can guarantee complete security. Protect your account credentials and contact us if you believe your account or data may be at risk.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Bagwis, maintain account and loft records, support club and competition history, meet legal or audit needs, and protect race integrity.
You may request deletion of your Bagwis account at pigeon.antiochlabs.dev/account_deletion. Verified requests have a seven-day cancellation period before processing. Account credentials, profile details, private location evidence, and associated personal data are deleted or anonymized as part of that process.
Some race, training, club, security, or audit records may be retained in anonymized form where deletion would affect official results, competition integrity, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Backup copies expire according to our operational retention schedule.
9. Your Choices
- Update supported account, pigeon, and loft profile details in the app.
- Control app permissions, including location permission, through your device settings.
- Sign out or lock the app from the More screen.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
10. Children's Privacy
Bagwis is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Bagwis changes, legal requirements change, or new data-related features are introduced. The current version will show its effective and last updated dates.
